0.006P during isothermnal aging at 650 ℃ for 100 s~300 h have been tested and studied by scanning and high resolution electron microscope and HV50 hardhness tester. The test results showed that with aging at 650 ℃
the rich copper phase particles precipitated prior at ferrite grain boundary
and with increasing isothermal aging time the size of rich copper phase increased. As aging at 650 ℃ for 10' s
the rich copper transient phase kept coherency with ferrite matrix led to maximum hardness value.And during overaging period
the transient phase evolved gradually into fcc e-Cu particle.
