Abstract
K-OBM-S converter is a refining unit for steelmaking of stainless steel by charging hot metal and EAF premelting molten steel* Based on model of top-blown oxygen in converter for plain carbon steel melting and model of AOD process for stainless steel melting
a mathematical modeling of a 80 t K-OBM-S converter for steelmaking of stainless steel has been established. The verified results of steelmaking 2Crl3 stainless steel by duplex route and steelmaking 0Crl8Ni9 stainless steel by triplex route showed that the error of endrpoint carbon was mostly w ±0.03% and the error cf end-point chromium was ≤±0.3%
the percentage of hits for end-point aim caihon (0.10% - 0.25%) for 110 heats 0Crl8Ni9 steel was 95.6% and for end-point chromium (17.1% ~ 17.6%) was 85.2%
