The  amount  of  annual  apparent  consumption  of  stainless  steel  in  China  in  2005  was  up  to5220000  t

  being  6  times  the  amount  of  annual  apparent  consumption  in  1998

at  the  some  time  the  amount  of  annual  output  of  stainless steel  in  China  increased  to  3160000  t  in  2005  from  220000  t  in  1998  and  the  shortage  was  compensated  mainly  by  input.  According  to  incomplete  statistic

up  to  the  end  of  2006

the  production  capacity  of  hot  rolled  stainless  steel  in  China  shall be  up  to10000000  t  per  year  and  that  of  cold  rolled  stainless  steel  shall  be  more  than  5000000  t  per  year.  Relative  issues in  development  of  stainless  steel  are  discussed  in  this  article  and  it  is  predicted  that  stainless  steel  requirement  amount  of stainless   steel   in   China   in   2010   shall   be 8410000～10500000 t

in   which   300   series   austenite   steels   make   up   50%~ 60%

400 series    ferrite    stainless    steels   make   up    30%~35%

anothers    including    200    series   make   up5%～10%.
