The test results showed that the volatilization rate of block pure molybdenum oxide(MoO₃)in heating period from 600 ℃ to1100 ℃ for 5 min was 30%
which of powder was up to 40%.As CaO reacts with MoO₃ to form CaMoO₄ to decrease the activity of MoO₃
the added CaO could depress the volatilization of molybdenum oxide. With increasing added percent of CaO the volatilization of molybdenum oxide decreased
which decreased to 1.0% with added 20% CaO.The scheelite also could depress the volatilization of molybdenum oxide
of which the depression effect was inferior to that of CaO. Al₂O₃ and SiO₂ had no effect on depressed volatilization of molybdenum oxide.
