The effect of quenching and tempering temperature of Φ21 mm finished products rolled by 160 mm×160 mm concasting billet of spring steel 60Si2CrVAT quenched at 890~930 ℃ and tempered at 400~440 ℃ on structure and mechanical properties of steel has been tested. Results showed that the tensile strengh of tempered spring steel 60Si2CrVAT quenched at 910 ℃ was higher than that quenched at 890 ℃ and 930 ℃
and with increasing tempering tem perature the tensile strength of steel quenched at different temperature decreased. The structure morphology of tensile frac ture was analyzed.
