Abstract
The 0Crl8Ni9 clean stainless steel is produced by pretreated hot metal - 75 t K-OBM-S - VOD - LF flow sheet. During LF refining for steel 0Cr18Ni9 as bottom argon blown stirring power decreased from 20 ~40 W/t to 13 ~21 W/t with feeding available Ca-Si wire according to Ca/Al≈0.1
the oxygen content and Al
2
O
3
content in steel decreased respectively to less than 30 x 10
-6
and 5 x 10
-6
and the metallographic examination results showed that total amount of inclusions in slab of steel 0Crl8Ni9 decreased by 40%
the inclusions with size ≥20μm decreased to less than 5%.
