0~4Cu low carbon martensite stainless steel oil-quenched at 1100 ℃ for 15 min and tempered at 600℃ for 5 h have been studied. The test results showed that as steel contained 2%~4% Cu
the structure of quenched and tempered steel was sorbite matrix with dispersed rich copper phase; and as Cu content in steel increased from 2% to 4%
the hard-ness HRC value of quenched and tempered steel increased from 38 to 48
the antibacterial capacity to coli bacillus in creased from 42% to 95%
and caused passivation current density and voltage decreased in 5% sulphuric acid to make steel easily passivated.
