Flow field of molten steel in 230 mm x 2 000 mm concasting slab mould has been simulated by using commercial software Phoenics combined with water model test. The effect of process parameters such as effect of submerged nozzle bottom structure
immersion depth and outlet angle on wave amplitude of fluid surface and effect of flow strand on impetus at mould narrow side have been studied and verified by water model test. Results showed that available submerged nozzle structure and process parameters are concave bottom structure
