cast to 22 kg ingot
forged to 100 mm×100 mm×150 mm billet then control-rolled to 16 mm plate
air-cooled. The CCT curves of the steel have been got by Gleeble 1500 thermal simulation machine. The microstructure of steel DB590 air-cooled(3 ℃/s)after rolling was bainite + ferrite matrix
the mechanical properties of plate were tensile strength 645 MPa
yield strength 471 MPa
elongation 32%
impact energy at 0 ℃ 94 J with excellent cold-bending property.
