Influence of0~0.89% Nb content on structure and mechanical properties of quenched(1000~1200 ℃) - tempered(200~650℃)steel Cr8WMo2V2SiNb has been studied. Results showed that with increasing Nb content the as-cast structure and eutectic carbide morphology improved
the amount of refractory carbides increased remarkably to restrain the growth of austenite grain; and the quenching temperature of steel could appropriately increased by adding Nb to increase secondary hardening ability and wear resistance and get higher integrated mechanical properties of steel.
