The simulating batch annealing test of 1.0 mm cold rolled steel sheet for chain at 650~690 ℃ for 2~6 h has been carried out by vacuum heating fumace in laboratory.Results showed that the structure of cold rolled steel for chain was ferrite + free cementite
with increasing anncaling temperature and time the structure of steel tended to homogeneous; the tensile strength of annealed steel was 395~415 MPa
with increasing annealing temperature and time the HRB hardness value of steel decreased from 68.9 to 65.0 and the clongation of steel increased from 36% to 39%.The annealing process is available for commercial production.
