The effect of 0.52~1.00 Ni on corrosion fatigue properties of 2.000 MPa grade medium carbon spring steel NHS ( 0.44~0.45C
1.95~2.08Si
0.68~0.70Mn
0.90~0.92Cr
0. 14~0. 15V) has been studied by using accelerated corrosion(5% NaCl salt spray)test and rotating bending fatigue test. Results indicated that with increasing the Ni content in steel NHS
the depth of corrosion pits in steel decreased and the corrosion pitting potential of steel in 5% NaCl aqueous solution increased as a result to increase the corrosion fatigue strength and life of the steel. As compared with conventional spring steel 60Si2CrVA
the spring steel NHS presented better anti-corrosion fatigue properties.
