According to measured copper plate temperature and cooling parameters of ASP ( Angang Strip Production) slab concaster at situ
a heat transfer model for ASP slab mould (height 1 000 mm
slab cross-section 170 mm x 2 000 mm) has been established to calculate the distribution function of mould heat flux and get the relational expression between heat flux and height of mould. Results show that the distribution of copper plate temperature is similar to that of heat flux; the fluctuations of heat flux between loose and fix copper plate at center and edge of mould wide direction are respectively about 400 kW/m
2
and 200 kW/m
2
of which the differences of temperature are respectively about 30 °C and 20 °C.
