The Q&P process: heating at 880 ℃ for 15 min-quenching to 150~260 ℃(QT) for 5 min -heating to 300℃ for 10 min and oil cooling of steel 0.24C-1.72Si-2.96Ni has been carried out.Results showed that the Q&P treated steel had complicated structure consisting of lath martensite
retained austenite
twinned martensite and ε-carbides; the QT had influence on amount of martensite in steel
with increasing QT from 150℃ to 260℃
the tensile strength of steel decreased from 1580 MPa to l505 MPa
the impact energy of steel increased from 45 J to 50 J.As compared with traditional quenching-tempering process
the tensile strength of Q&P treated steel decreased by 25~100 MPa
the impact energy of Q & P treated steel increased by 5~8J
of which the elongation of steel hadn't obvious change.
