and the source and controlling measures for residual elements have been studied and analyzed. Results showed that as Pb content in steel was more than 0.001% or Sn content in steel was more than 0.011%
the hot plasticity of stainless steel decreased and the trend of crack corner of bloom increased. To control residual elements content in charge is an available measure to decrease Pb
Sn content in steel and increase surface quality of bloom.
