The dissipation of energy-dissipation of heat during fatigue process of materials has been analyzed
and the surface temperature change of 0. 45C steel with necking part in fatigue test process by using high frequency fatigue test machine was studied by infrared thermal sensor to fast determine fatigue limit of 0. 45C steel. Results showed that the fatigue limit of normalized 0. 45C steel determined by infrared thermal sensor was 219 MPa
it was showing no difference with the fatigue limit of steel obtained by theoretical calculation. This method has the merits such as non-contact
