In order to develop a new grade of square-circular stainless steel 316L profile tube with outside length 64 mm and inside diameter 44. 4 mm
both hollow drawing process and fixed short-plug drawing process have been simulated and calculated by using large scare nonlinear finite element software ABAQUS to get optimal drawing die angles
length of deformation area and drawing force. With analysis it is obtained the new process shall realize by two-pass fixing short-plug drawing method. Combining works test
the simulated results are accuracy
i. e. the error of outside dimensions between measured and simulated is 0. 26%
