The hot compression test of 12 mm hot rolled sheet of 2507 super duplex stainless steel (/% : 0. 022C
0. 58Si
25. 35Cr
7. 17Ni
4. 05Mo
0. 28N) with strain rate 0. 01 ~ 10 s
-1
at 1 000 〜1 150 °C has been carried out by using MMS-200 thermal-mechanical simulator. Test results show that at definite strain rate
with increasing deformation temperature the peak stress of 2507 super duplex stainless steel decreases: and at definite deformation temperature
with increasing strain rate the peak stress increases. Based on the constitutive equation for hot deformation
the calculated hot compression average apparent stress exponent n= 3. 25
and hot deformation activation energy Q = 460 kJ/moL According to test dada a hot deformation equation for 2507 super duplex stainless steel at corresponding deformation condition is established.
