The corrosion resistance of 3 mm sheet of steel Corten A (/% : 0.59C

0.52Cr
0.35Cu) and steel Corten Cr2 (/% : 0.59C
0.16Si
0.30Mn
0.14P
0.012S
l.00Ni
1.94Cr
0.36Cu) is studied by using accelerated corrosion test salt fog chambers and measuring alternating current (AC) impedance method
and the structure morphology
analysis and corrosion resistance mechanism of rust layer and matrix are analyzed by using scanning electron microscope and energy dispersive spectrometer. Results show that with etching in 5% sodium chloride fog for 120 h
the average corrosion rate of steel Corten Cr2 is 65. 86% of that of steel Corten A ; the Cr atom percentage and chromium oxide rich extent at surface of corrosion layer and plate surface of steel Corten Cr2 are higher than that of steel Corten A.
