0. 038Nb) is melted by a 30 kg vacuum induction furnace and rolled to 15 mm plate. The continuous cooling transformation (CCT) curves of H-section steel 0. 11 C-0. 25Si,1. 50Mn-0. 038Nb are plotted by thermal dilatation curves at cooling rate 0. 1 ~ 100 ℃/s measured using Formastor-F hot simulation machine and combined with metallographic examination. It is obtained that with cooling rate ≤10 ℃
the steel has ferrite + pearlite structure
with cooling rate ≥20 ℃/s
the steel has upper bainite structure and with cooling rate 100 ℃/s
the structure of steel is martensite + minor bainite.
