dry spray and shot blasting process on teeth tip breaking by non-running-in cutting steel GCr15 and fatigue life of blade back material by idling fatigue test of high-speed steel M42-spring steel X32 Bimetal saw blade has been studied by binary image measuring instrument and scanning electron microscope. Results show that the dry spray process may insure the teeth tips to form stable smooth surface and bear impact by cutting and vibrating
and increase the residual compressive stress at blade back material to increase the fatigue life
it is suitable surface treatment method of the bi-metal saw blade.
