The reaction mechanism of refining slagging of aluminum deoxidized steel at Pangang Group Xichang Steel and Vanadium Co Ltd has been studied. According the theoretical analysis
the refining slag must be high alkalinity

therefore a new fluorine-free refining slag agent is proposed
