The process of smelting

rolling

solution and pickling of duplex stainless steel ER2209 wire rods for butt welding was studied. The results show that the optimum hot working temperature was 1000- 1050 ℃

which can effectively avoid the rolling cracks caused by σ phase precipitation. The heat treatment temperature was 1050- 1100 ℃

the strength of the material was low

the plasticity was high

and the cold drawing performance is excellent. The process of(H

2

SO

4

+HF) solution pretreatment and (HNO

3

+HF)mixed pickling was used for pickling. The wire surface quality was excellent with- out pickling intercrystalline corrosion.
