The effect of B on the high temperature oxidation resistance of 0Cr25Ni20B was studied by oxidation weight gain method. The morphology
composition and element distribution of the high temperature oxidation film of 0Cr25Ni20B was analyzed by TEM
SEM
EDS and XRD
and the mechanism of B on its high temperature oxidation resistance was revealed. The results show that the addition of 0.4% B can promote the formation of dense oxide film on the surface of heat- resistant steel plate
and the formation of borate (Fe
3
BO
6
)can inhibit the further development of oxidation behavior
there- by improving the high temperature oxidation performance of the material.
