Based on thermodynamic function of hot metal predesulphurizing reaction and desulphurizing reaction rate
the conditions beneficial to hot metal predesulphurization was analyzed. The test of lime-based hot metal predesulphurization was carried out by a 10 kg medium frequency induction furnace with stepless speed changing screw stirrer
and based on orthogonal experiment it was obtained that as the hot metal was predesulphurized by using predesulphurizer of 44% lime
3% coke
22% calcium carbide
18% fluorite and 13% industrial alkali with dosage 10 kg/t
the sulphur content in metal decreased to 0.010% 〜0.013%
