Influence of B₂O₃ on Melting Characteristics of CaO-Al₂O₃-SiO₂-MgO-CaF₂ Pentary Slag Series
The effect of B₂O₃ on melting temperature and complete melting time of 40.5%~70.0%CaO- 19%~ 45%Al₂O₃-SiO₂-MgO- CaF₂ pentary slag series by semi- sphere point method has been studied. The test results showed that the average melting temperature of pentary slag with 40.5%~60%CaO
2%~10%CaE₂and(B₂O₃)/(CaF₂) 0. 17~0.33 was 30 ℃ less than that of pentary slag series without adding B₂O3 and the average complete melting time decreased by 49 s as compared with that without adding B₂O₃.The available multicomponent desulphurization refining slag ingredient is 60%CaO
