Taking tundish for No4 Slab concaster at Nol steel plant
Jinan Steel
computer numerical simulation for difierent weir and dam design scheme was carried out to optimize design of weir and dam in tundish by using turbulent flowage math model. Results showed that for tundish with top dimensions 3500 mm x 800 mm
bottom dimensions 3200 mm x 650 mm and molten steel depth in tundish 800 mm
molten steel had better flowage condition as weir height 550 mm
dam hei^it 350 mm
distance between weir and nozzle entrance 800 mm and relative distance between weir and dam 400 mm
