adding Nb- RE) - 1 t ESR process. Test results show that with Nb-RE microalloying
the grain size of quenched Φ96 mm bar of high speed steel TGM2 is obviously fine i. e. the grain rating increases to 10 ~ 10. 5 from 9. 5 of original steel without microalloying; the hardness HRC of quenched and tempered Nb-RE steel is 65. 2 ~65. 8 and its red hardness HRC at 600 °C for 4 h is 62. 1 〜62. 3 ; as compared with original TGM2 steel without added Nb-RE
the service life of tool manufactured by Nb- RE TGM2 steel increases by 20%.
