According to thermal physical parameters of austenite stainless steel and aim temperature at outlet of each section of secondary cooling area
the comprehensive control model for dynamic secondary cooling process of 220 mm X 220 mm casting bloom of stainless steel and the end electromagnetic stirring-casing speed optimized model have been established. The application results of casting production of 304 austenite stainless steel show that at normal casting speed 0.8-1.1 m/min for the steel
according to aim temperature (foot rolls 1080 ℃
Ⅰ section 1070
℃
Ⅱ section 1060 °C
Ⅲ section 1045 °C and entering straightening machine 980 ℃ ) to defining corresponding water rate (0.30-0.33 L/kg)
the secondary cooling process is controlled based on comparison between calculated surface temperature by model in time and aim temperature value
as a results the temperature of casting bloom is even and stable with nice metallurgical quality.
