      摘要:Based on similarity theory, the effect of bottom gas blowing rate on flow characteristics of fluid in ladle including mixing time, liquid level fluctuation, bare area diameter and floating time of inclusions has been studied by using 1 : 5 and 1 : 5.5 model for an 130 t and an 160 t ladle at Frist Heavy Machine Industries. Results show that for 130 t ladle the optimum bottom argon blowing rate (L/min) for heating to smelt flux, desulphurization-deoxidation, alloying and soft blowing are respectively 200, 600, 400 and 150, and for 160 t ladle that are respectively 300, 500, 500 and 200.

      摘要:With a 230 mm x2 150 mm slab caster at steelmaking works as an object of study, the effect of cast speed (0. 8 ~2. 3 m/min) , immersion depth of submerged nozzle (100 -200 mm) and slab width (1 100 ~2 150 mm) on heat transfer and solidification of liquid at action of flow field in mold has been analyzed by 3 dimensional numerical simulation. Results show that the change of casting speed and other parameters has no influence on basic characteristics of liquid flowing in mold, but can effect the development of slab shell at narrow side in mold. The change of immersion depth of submerged nozzle, slab width and casting speed effects overheat extent of liquid on surface of bath in mold in varying degrees, i. e. with smaller cross section, larger casting speed and smaller immersion depth of submerged nozzle, the overheat extent of liquid on surface of bath is larger, maximum value is up to 6. 2 K.

      摘要:The thermogravimetry (TG) -differential scanning calorimetry ( DSC) analyses on 4 kinds of electroslag for remelting- AH-6 (70% CaF2), M-l (42%CaF2), L-3 (15% CaF2) and F-2 (free CaF2) have been carried out by using TG and DSC, the structure of melting slag at elevated temperature is measured by using X-ray diffraction (XRD) method. Results show that the gas-phase fluoride is forming by reaction between CaF2and other oxides in slag led to weight loss of slag and there is obvious difference between initial ingredient of slag and end ingredient of slag in slag pool; with increasing CaF2content in initial slag, the weight loss rate of fluoride increases, and at 1 500 ℃ the weight loss rate of slag AH-6, M- 1, L-3 and F-2 is respectively 11. 92% , 7. 84% , 4. 87% and 0. 38%. It is found to measure high temperature melting slag by XRD that the complex structure and higher melting point materials such as 2CaO • SiO2(2 130 ℃ ) , 3Al2O3•2SiO2(1 750 ℃ ) , CaO ,6Al2O3( 1 860 ℃ ) and 11CaO•7Al2O3CaF2( 1 577 °C ) occur in slag pool led to the ingredient segregation in formation of slag skin and the ingredient of slag pool and slag skin being no-constant in whole ESR process.

      摘要:Simulated calculation and analysis on equilibrium precipitated phases MBC6 and ferrite as well as non-equilibrium solidification of martensitic stainless steel 9Cr18Mo ( % : 0. 95 〜1. 10C, 16. 6 ~ 18. 0Cr, 0. 4 - 0. 7Mo) have been carried out by using Thermo-Calc thermodynamic calculation software. Results show that during solidification the segregation of C, Cr, Mo and Fe in steel 9Cr18Mo is rather serious, the C and Cr content in steel have definite effect on the precipitated amount of M23C6and the elements such as Cr and Fe content in M23C6and in matrix, while the change of Mo content in steel only effects on the precipitated amount of M23C6and the Cr and Mo content in M23C6.

      摘要:A new genetic algorithm (GA) using hybrid coding method to train the neural network model for predication of carbon content in arc furnace steel is proposed, that is first to use binary coding method then to use decimal coding method continuously to optimize and train the weighted threshold of predictive model. The hybrid coding method combines the advantages of binary coding method with strong search ability and decimal coding method with arbitrarily small variance. Simulation results show that the genetic algorithm (GA) using hybrid coding method has faster convergence rate and better search performance, for instance as steel grade with 0. 85% ~ 1. 00% C is melted by 100 t arc furnace, for ±0. 04% precision of predictive carbon content in steel the hit ratio by using hybrid coding method GA is 96% , but the hit ratio by using binary coding method GA is 90% .

      摘要:The effect of magnesium on modification of non-metallic inclusions in steel SPHC (0. 065% C, 0. 025 % Al) is analyzed by thermodynamic calculation, and combined with commercial test by using an 80 t top and bottom combined blown converter flow sheet, the mechanism for influence of magnesium on inclusions in steel SPHC is studied. Thermodynamic calculation results prove that as[Al]2/a[Mg]3≤7. 69 x 1010the inclusion MgO • Al2O3alone forms in steel ; Commercial test with feeding 0. 875 kg/t magnesium wire in steel SPHC shows that the inclusions are tine by magnesium treatment i. e. the round cluster Al2O3is modified to fine inclusion MgO • Al2O3while the inclusion MnS is also modified, the amount of inclusions in steel decreases and the cleanliness of steel in advanced.

      摘要:Domestic electric arc furnace steelmaking technology including output, equipment technique (large-capacity, advanced eccnomic and technic index), high efficiency technology (ultra-high power supply, auxiliary energy source, diversified charging, decreasing power off-time, scrap preheat and continuous smelting) and cleanliness technology has been gained obvious progress in last decade. But the factors such as shortage of scrap source, power in short supply and unreasonable energy structure restrict the further development of domestic electric arc furnace steelmaking. The focal points for development of domestic electric arc furnace steelmaking (diversified charging, reasonable power supply , energy multiplicity ,residual heat utilization and green environmental protection) and forward progress (clean steel production for low carbon economic) have been discussed in article.

      摘要:The application of dynamic soft reduction technology ( solid-phase ratio of bloom in soft reduction region- 40% ~96% , total reduction- 8. 3 ~ 12. 5 mm) in process of production for 285 mm X 325 mm bloom of bearing steel GCrl5 at Xingtai Steel is presented. Results show that with molten steel superheating 20 ~ 30 °C , casting speed 0. 65 〜0. 75 m/min, after implementing dynamic soft reduction the percentage of rating ≤1. 5 for center porosity and rating 0 ~ 1. 5 for center line shrinkage increase respectively from original without implementing soft reduction 49. 45% and 63. 74% to 85. 0% and 87. 5% , the carbon segregation index decreases from 0. 875 〜1.390 to 0. 872 ~ 1. 086, and the center segregation and V-shape segregation improve obviously.

      摘要:Based on real production data, the process for melting low carbon steel 08Al (% : ≤0. 08C, 0. 17 - 0. 37Si, 0. 25 〜0. 65Mn, ≤0. 030P, W0. 030S, 0. 015 〜0. 065 Als) by an 100 t top and bottom combined blown converter at Lianyuan Steel has been analyzed and studied. It is found that its bottom blowing is intense in later period led to part liquid over-oxidation, and there is a definite deviation between the real end [C] [O] and the theoretical equilibrium [ C] [O] product; as basicity of converter end slag is 4 ~ 5 , the distribution coefficient of phosphorus and sulphur between liquid steel and slag is largest and the effect of dephosphorization and desulphurization is best, while higher end [C] , lower (FeO) and lower oxidability of slag are unfavourable to dephosphorization but favourable to desulphurization; and the lower encl temperature of melting liquid steel, higher [C] and lower oxidability of liquid and furnace slag, the higher the residual manganese content in liquid steel.

      摘要:The change of morphology and ingredient of inclusions in cold heading steel SWRCH22 A before and after feeding calcium wire in 80 t LF liquid steel has been analyzed and studied by scanning electron microscope, and the thermodynamics calculation for modification of inclusions in steel by calcium treatment is carried out. Research results show that after calcium treatment of liquid steel SWRCH22A the Mn in incdusions is placed by Ca, the inclusion Al2O3in liquid steel in tundish is modified to form low melting point calcium aluminate 12CaO·7Al2O3and during calcium treatment of liquid steel the necessary condition to form easily floating up and removing liquid inclusion 12CaO·7Al2O3is [Al]T2/[Ca]T3≤10.58×104.

      摘要:The effect of initial silicon content (0. 01% ~0. 61% Si) in metal ( % : 3. 34 ~ 3. 90C, 0. 01 ~0. 15Mn, 0. 014 ~0. 082P, 0. 019 ~0. 051S) on simultaneous removal of silicon, manganese, phosphorus and sulphur during metal pretreatment process has been studied by using a 90 t ladle furnace. Results show that with higher initial silicon content the critical temperature of oxidation of carbon and silicon is higher, led to decrease of the oxidation of carbon even increase of the carbon content in metal; and with lower initial silicon content the critical temperature of oxidation of carbon and silicon is lower, and the [Si] and [C] are oxidized simultaneously; and with higher initial silicon content the amount of removal of silicon and manganese increases, but dephosphorization and desulphurization are suppressed led to resulphurization.

      摘要:The effect of five different bottom gas blowing scheme on flow characteristics of liquid steel and inclusions removing from steel in tundish has been studied by using 1: 3 water model-testing for a 40 t tundish to measure the flow field of liquid in tundish for 6 strands billet casting. Results show that the residence time of liquid in tundish is prolonged by gas blowing at injection flow area to decrease the turbulence intensity, while gas blowing at injection flow area is available to break the bubbles to form disperse small bubbles, promote inclusions floating up and get best inclusions removing effect ; the gas blowing at area between near flow nozzle and med. flow nozzle is available to improve flow characteristics, at this situation the flow condition of liquid is best but the inclusion removal at near nozzle area is lower ; and the gas blowing at area between med. flow nozzle and far flow nozzle is not an idea location to effectively improve the flow field.

      摘要:The commercial pilot production for 693 pieces of 168 mm x 7 mm tube rolled by Accu-Roll mill from 192. 39 t Φ180 mm round casting bloom of steel B grade (0. 20% C) with center line shrinkage rating W2 has been carried out. Results show that the yield of rolled tube is 90% ; there are not defects in internal surface of tube such as internal overlap, abscess layer and cracks; the tube isn't leaking water by water pressure test with 15 MPa for 5 s and each tube is passed and qualified by ultrasonic examination according to standard GB/T5777-1996 with artificial defect depth rating C12. 5.

    • Productive Practice of Refining with a 300 t RH Unit for IF Steel

      摘要:Before decarbonizing refining IF steel by a 300 t RH unit, it is required to control converter end [C] ≤ 0. 06% , end [O] 0. 05% ~ 0. 08% and taping temperature 1 680 〜1 700 ℃; at argon injection station the (FeO) and (CaO)/(Al2O3) of ladle slag are modified and decreased respectively from original 12. 2% and 6. 7 to 5. 0% and 1. 7 to increase its ability to adsorb inclusions. Based on production data, an auto-calculation model for RH decarburizing operation is established effectively to improve the percentage of hits of each technical index during RH refining, and the average [O] and [C] decrease respectively from 0. 046% and 0. 031 % at the beginning of RH decarburizing to 0. 035 0% and 0. 001 3% at end of RH decarburizing.

      摘要:Hot-coil box is an apparatus located between roughing mill and finishing mill at hot continuous rolling production line to coil and uncoil the intermediate stripe plate. Hot rolled 300 series and 400 series stainless steel strips with 2 ~5. 2 mm thickness have been successfully produced by using hot coil-box at Taigang 2250 hot strip production line with overcoming difficulties about equipment and process to increase surface quality of strip and production efficiency. The advantages and disadvantages for using hot coil-box in hot stainless steel strip rolling process and the problem occurred in rolling production such as scratch and hot coil-box marks of strip are discussed in this article.

      摘要:According to the 60 t LD-LF-VD-CC production process at Shijiazhuang steel, the average total oxygen content (T[O] ) in bearing steel GCrl5 decreases obviously by improving a series of process control technology such as tapping at condition of high carbon and low oxygen content in steel, controlling LD tapping slag amount, white slag technology at LF refining station, applying special slagging process for bearing steel, changing argon blowing rate at different refining period and optimizing casting process, the average T[O] decreases from original 9. 6 x 10-6to 6. 34 x 10-6and the heats with T[O] ≤7 X 10-6account for 82. 8% of the total melting heats to get marked effect by improved process.

      摘要:The structure and hardness of steel 6Cr15Mo (% : 0.59C, 14. 96Cr, 0. 52Mo, 0. 22V, 0.004 6 N) quenched at 1 000 ~ 1 100℃ and the structure, hardness and impact toughness of that steel quenched at 1 080 °C + tempered at 100 ~700 °C have been studied. Results show that the hardness of steel 6Cr15Mo quenched at 1 080 ℃ has highest hardness (average HRC value 61. 6) , the second hardness peak of steel tempered at 500 ℃ occurs with lower impact toughness (12 J/cm2), and the optimum strength-toughness combination of steel is got by quenched at 1 080 ℃ + tempered at 150 ~250 ℃ , that is average HRC value 55 with impact value 17 J/cm2.

      摘要:The isothermal compression test for Φ8 mm specimen of steel YF45MnVS ( % : 0. 48C, 0. 45Si, 1. 36Mn, 0. 009P, 0. 043S, 0. 086V) cut from 200 mm x 200 mm cast bloom with single pass strain rate 10-2〜101s-1and strain 10% 〜50% at 950 〜1 200 °C has been carried out by using Gleeble-1500 thermo-mechanical simulator. Results show that low strain rate and large strain are favorable to the occurrence of dynamic recrystallization of test steel. The calculated dynamic recrystallized activation energy of the steel YF45MnVS at 950 〜1 200 ℃ is 299. 55 kJ/mol.

    • Identification on Sorbite Structure in 82A High Carbon Steel Wire

      摘要:In standard YB/T169-2000, it is defined that the percentage of sorbite in structure of high carbon steel is measured based on the difference structure between bright and dark under optical microscope. In order to analyze the structure corresponding to each bright and dark region under optical microscope t the different region in sample of lead bath annealed Φ0. 9 mm 82A high carbon steel wire with tensile strength 1 296 MPa is marked by microhardness tester and observed by optical and scanning electron microscope, and the reason to occur the bright and dark region is analyzed by different etching method. The results confirm that the bright region and the similar pearlite lamella structure are all sorbite structure. Partial deep-etching leads to false appearance of lamella, and the occurred bright region and similar pearlite are related to the sorbite block which is perpendicular to drawing direction.
