According the trouble of large sensitivity on crack for niobium-bearing microalloying steel (ship plate steel D36

the model for precipitation of Nb ( C
N) and AIN in austenite has been established to analyze the effect of Nb (C
N) and AIN precipitates on hot ductility of casting slab during slab straightening at 850 - 1 150 ℃. Results show that the main precipitating model of carbo-nitrides in niobium-bearing microalloying steel mainly is nucleating at grain boundary and dislocation line
and at 950 °C the comprehensive precipitating speed of Nb (C
N) and the precipitating speed of AIN at grain boundary are maximum
therefore strengthening temperature of niobium- bearing steel should be more than 950 ℃.
