Abstract: Effect of nitrogen blowing time (0-50 min) , nitrogen partial pressure (35-100 kPa) , nitrogen blowing rate (total flow rate 0.3 L/min ,N2 :Ar=1 :3〜3:1) , liquid temperature ( 1773-1833 K) on nitrogen content in 0.8 kg liquid of austenite stainless steel 316L (% :0.031C, 16.13Cr, 10.12Ni, 2.12Mo) has been studied by using corundum crucible-silicon-molybdenum rod electric resistance furnace in laboratory. Results show that with increasing nitrogen blowing time and nitrogen partial pressure the nitrogen content in steel increases ; with increasing blowing nitrogen rate the time that nitrogen content in liquid comes up to saturation value reduces and with decreasing liquid temperature the dissolvability of nitrogen in steel increases. Analysis on test results is carried out by using thermodynamics and kinetics models.
