Open Access Statement
Special Steel flipped to an open-access journal in the 1st issue of 2022. All articles ever since, once published, will be immediately and permanently available for readers to read and download free of charge. Full contents of articles from 2005 to the 6th issue of 2021 are available on this website for free and open access under CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license. For technical reasons, articles before 2005 are not open-access.
Licensing Policy
Permitted third-party reuse of the articles published by Special Steel is defined by the following user license: Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). This license allows users to copy and distribute the articles of the journal in any medium or format if the license terms below are followed:
Users must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes to the articles were made. Users may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the journal endorses the use. Users may not use the articles for commercial purposes. If users remix, transform, or build upon the articles, they may not distribute the modified articles. Copyright Policy
Authors are required to sign the Copyright Transfer Agreement & Declaration of Authors (in the Download Center) to transfer the articles’ copyright to the Editorial Office of Special Steel, and the copyright will belong to the Editorial Office of Special Steel. However, authors have the right to use their articles under the following circumstances:
(1) Reproducing, disseminating, and using the article freely in accordance with the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 License, such as non-commercial academic seminars, communication, academic reports, and lectures.
(2) Using the article in other activities permitted and authorized by the editorial office.
If the article is not published by the journal at the end, the agreement mentioned above shall be invalid automatically.
Digital Archive & Online Accessibility
In addition to archiving on the journal’s official website, the full text of the journal’s articles is also stored in the databases of CNKI, Wanfang Data, etc. Readers can access the above-mentioned databases and platforms to obtain the articles published by the journal.
It is allowed for authors to deposit all versions of their articles in an institutional or other repository of the authors’ choice. However, it is necessary to indicate the articles’ publishing information in the metadata in the institutional or other repository and use that as a recommended way of citation.
Discussion on Published Articles
We welcome authors and readers to make a discussion on the journal’s published articles. Comments can be sent to the journal’s email (tsghs@sina.com). The editorial office will deal with it as soon as possible and give feedback as appropriate. We welcome readers and authors to actively provide their comments on the articles to the journal, which can help us to create a positive academic atmosphere.
