Abstract: With electromagnetic brake (EMBr) numerical simulation, the semi-quantitative method to analyze the impact of molten steel to inner wall and initial solidified shell in (900 ~ 1 600) mm x (50 ~ 70) mm mould has been presented .The numerical simulation results showed that with EMBr the impact point of steel flow in mould at narrow face went up by 40% , and the impact intensity of up-flow and down-flow decreased by 86% and 10% respectively, it was available to avoid the solidified shell re-melting so as to reduce the solidification defect such as transverse crack. The commercial test results showed that with EMBr the temperature of molten steel at meniscus in CSP ( Compact Strip Production) mould increased by 5.8 °C , it was favourable to flux at surface of molten steel
摘要: 通过电磁制动数值模拟,提出了钢水对(900 ~ 1 600)mm x (50 - 70)mm结晶器内壁或铸坯初凝 壳冲击和冲刷作用的半定量分析方法。数值模拟结果表明,电磁制动使钢水注流对结晶器窄边的冲击位置上 升40%,上升流的冲刷强度下降了 86%,下降流的冲刷强度下降了 10%,这有利于避免发生铸坯初凝壳被钢 水热流重熔等现象,从而减少铸坯横裂等凝固缺陷;现场对比试验结果表明,使用电磁制动使CSP(紧凑式热 带生产)结晶器内弯月面钢液温度上升5.8 V,有利于结晶器内钢水表面的化渣
