Effect of Swirling Flow Submerged Entry Nozzle on Quality of Φ690 mm Continuous Casting Bloom of LZ50 Axle Steel

自旋式浸入水口对LZ50车轴钢Φ690 mm连铸坯质量的影响

Abstract: The effect of six-hole swirling flow submerged entry nozzle on quality of LZ50 railway axle steel continuous casting bloom Φ 690 mm including macrostructure, inclusions, carbon segregation etc has been studied. Tthe results show that,compared with the traditional five-hole nozzle, the maximum central shrinkage cavity size in the center of continuous casting bloom with six-hole swirling flow submerged entry nozzle decreases from 22.7 mm to 12. 8 mm, the average shrinkage cavity size decreases from 7. 8 mm to 5. 5 mm,and the shrinkage cavity larger than 15 mm disappears,the rating of porosity is all quality 1 ,and the central equiaxed crystal region increases by 74. 1%. The inclusion floating effect is remarkable ,the number of inclusions is obviously reduced, and inclusions larger than 40μm are eliminated ; the segregation ratio is reduced from 0.92 ~ 1. 1 to 0.93 ~ 1.05.

摘要: 研究了自旋式6孔浸入水口对铁路车轴钢LZ50Φ690 mm连铸坯包括低倍组织、夹杂物、碳偏析等质量的影响。结果表明:与传统5孔水口相比,自旋式浸入水口连铸坯中心最大中心缩孔由22.7 mm降低到12.8 mm,平均缩孔尺寸从7.8 mm减小到5.5 mm,大于15 mm的缩孔消失;疏松程度均为1级,中心等轴晶区增大了74.1%。夹杂物上浮效果显著,钢中夹杂物数量显著减少,且消除大于40μm的夹杂物;偏析比由0.92~1.1降低到0.93~1.05。
