Effect of Argon Atmosphere on Quality of Electroslag Remelting Ingot of Low Alloy Steel

氩气保护对低合金钢电渣重熔锭质量的影响

Abstract: Loss   of  [Als] and [Si]   and   change   of   inclusions   in   low   alloy   steel (electrode-0.030%[Als],0.29% [Si],20×10-6 T[O]) remelted   by   a   15   kg   electroslag   remelting (ESR)furnace   with   CaF2-Al2O3-CaO-SiO2   slag   system  in argon atmosphere with argon flow rate 25 L/min and in air atmosphere have been studied. Results showed that remelted in   air   atmosphere, T[O]   of  ESR   ingot   increased   to   36×10-6, while [Als]  and [Si] decreased respectively   to   0.011%  and    0. 17%;remelted    in    argon    atmosphere, T[O]    of    ESR    ingot    was    24×10-6,[Als] and [Si]    were    respectively 0.024%  and  0.28%.As  compared  with  that  remelted  in  air  atmosphere, the  size  of inclusions  in  ingot  remelted  in  argon atmosphere was minor and the distribution of inclusions was more homogeneous and dispersed.

摘要: 试验了15kg电渣炉在CaF2-Al2O3-CaO-SiO2渣系下,氩气流量25L/min的全氩气保护和大气重熔低合金钢(电极含0.030%[Als]、0.29%[Si]、20×10-6 T[O])Al、Si的烧损和夹杂物的变化。结果表明,大气重熔时,电渣锭T[O]增加至36×10-6, [Als]、[Si]分别降至0.011%和0.17%;氩气保护重熔时,电渣锭T[O]为24×10-6,[Als]、[Si]分别为0.024%和0.28%;与大气重熔相比,氩气保护重熔锭中夹杂物尺寸小,分布均匀、弥散。
