    • Research and Development status of 800 MPa Grade Ultra-Fine Grain Steel

      摘要:The 800 MPa grade ulra-fine grain steel is a kind of high strength-toughness low carbon(0.05%C) microalloying steel by the rolling technology of multi-directional thermomechanical treatment,large angle cross rolling,heavy deformation strain-introducing ferrite phase transformation,relaxation precipitation controlling transformation and promoting acicular ferrite deformation to decrease grain size of steel to less than 1 μm from 10 μm. The theory research of 800 MPa grade ulra-fine grain steel,recent development and tend in future of production process and welding technology are present- ed in this paper.

      摘要:The numerical simulation of molten steel flow field in a 40 t tundish for alloy steel billet concasting at Shijiazhuang lron and Steel has been carried out using Computational Fluid Dynanics (CFD) software PHOENICS to modify the one weir structure which influence molten steel flowing to improved one weir and one dam structure. The results of application showed that after using improved structure the average T[O] in 180 mm×220 mm cast billet of bearing steel decreased to 9.3×10-6from 14.8×10-6using original structure and the amount of size >50 μm inclusion decreased to 0.15 mg/kg from 0.38 mg/kg.

      摘要:The pressurized induction melting of high nitrogen Fe-Cr-Mn-Ni austenite stainless steel has been tested using MgO crucible high induction furnace with nitrogen pressure 0.45-1.0 MPa between temperature 1640 (1913 K) and 1700 °C (1973 K) . The results showed that with 1.0 MPa nitrogen atmosphere at 1913 K the solubility of nitrogen in molten stainless steel Cr12, Cr17Mn5Ni5, Cr19Mn15 and Cr20Mn8 was respectively 0.391%, 0.692%, 1.120% and 0.899%, and it was found that to a certain extent the nitrogen dissolution in molten stainless steel deviated from Sievert,s law; while the oxygen content lower than 350 x 10-6with 1.0 MPa nitrogen atmosphere at 1913 K, the reaction of absorbed nitrogen in molten steel Cr20Mn8 still was first order reaction, its mass transfer coefficient was 0.023 cm▪s-1and with oxygen content increasing in molten steel the nitrogen dissolving rate and equilibrium nitrogen content in molten steel markedly decreased.

      摘要:The 0.5 mm non-orientation silicon steel 50W470 (≤0.005C,1.45~1.65Si,0.2~0.4Al)coil was rolled by twenty- high Sendzimir mill from 2.0~2.8 mm plate with pass reduction 15%~35% and total reduction 75%~80%.The test results showed that with 5 pass rolling the grains in steel were all fibration,the tensile strength increased to 885~905 MPa from 480~560 MPa rolling billet, clongation s decreased to 0.79%~0.8% from 25%~28%.And the X-ray diffraction spectrum analysis showed that with 5 pass rolling the residual stress(secondary stress)existed in non-orientation silicon steel 50W470 which was main cause to form elliptical type stamping.

      摘要:Based on theory of similarity,the powder injected through top lance in RH-PTB vacuum refining has been simulated using 1:9 water model ladle(diameter-0.43 m,height to water surface-0.45 m)to study the effect of top lance gas flow rate,lifting gas flow rate of up-leg and height of top lance on injecting powder mixing time in liquid. The results showed that with top lance gas flow rate increasing,the injecting powder mixing time in liquid increased and had maximum value; with lifting gas flow rate of up-leg increasing,the mixing time quickly decreased and as lifting gas flow rate was ≥15 L/min,the mixing time was no longer decreasing; the effect of height of top lance on mixing time was definite,therefore in operation,according to specific circumstances to adjust height of top lance decreasing powder mixing time.

      摘要:The finite element simulation of heat transfer during heating of 250 mm x 280 mm x 6 000 mm concasting billet of 0.72C-1.30Mn high carbon steel U71Mn has been carried out and by non-linear regression analysis, the mathematical model for relation between decarburization depth d (mm) of steel billet with decarburization depth d0(mm) before reheating, surface temperature T (K) of billet and reheating time: d=d0+(2.132×10-7T2-0.0002T+0.0163)·(0.208 t0.5-d0) is obtained. Hie measured results showed that the relative prediction error was ≤3.2% . Based on calculation by the model, it is obtained that the optimum reheating procedure is 1150 °C for 86 min at preheating zone, 1250 °C for 131 min at heating zone and 1230 °C for 68 min at soaking zone. The examination results showed that using optimum reheating procedure the decarburization of products decreased about 20%.

    • A Study on New Deoxidants for Cold Heading Steel Refining

      摘要:The variation of dissolved oxygen content in molten steel-[O] and inclusion ingredient of SWRM6 cold heading steel(≤0.08C,≤0.06Si,≥0.02Al) deoxidized refining by 2.5 kg/t Al block + 2.5 kg/t compound deoxidants or 5.0 kg/t AlMgFe block has been studied by 1kg MoSi2furnace. The results showed that at 1873 ℃ with dissolved oxygen content 600×10-6~850×10-6in steel and deoxidized by Al for 30 min,the[O] was 6×10-6~17×10-6and then feeding compound deoxidants to deoxidize for 30 min,the [O] in steel could decreased to 3×10-6~ 4×10-6by feeding FeSiMgBaCaAl,FeMgCaAl,or FeCa wire,except for heats by feeding FeCaAl for 30 min,of which the [O] in steel was 13×10-6.Alone deoxidized by 70%~80% Al-10%~15% Mg-Fe& alloy for 30 min,the [O] in steel decreased to 4×10-6.The analysis on typical inclusion in steel showed that the formed larger size inclusions in steel deoxidized by alloy AlMgFe easily went up and were removed from molten steel.

      摘要:The precipitation behavior in double tempering between 100 ℃ and 600 ℃ of 4~6Cr-2~4W-2~4Mo-1.5~2.0V and Cr-W-Mo-V+0.05~0. 10N serious semi-high speed steel (HSS) quenched at 1050 ℃ has been studied,in which the morphology and composition of carbides are analyzed by Transmission and scanning electron microscopy,energy dispersive spectroscopy and electron energy loss spectroscopy,and the volume fraction of retained austenite are measured by X-ray diffraction method. The results indicated that the secondary hardening effect of steel was reinforced with addition of nitrogen,the precipitation of carbonitrides in tempering between 425 ℃ and 475 ℃ were attributed to nitrogen,and large amount of compound carbonitrides deposited and formed by tempering carbides at 550 ℃ touched to surface of nitride. The amount of retained austenite in semi-HSS + N tempered below 400 ℃ was 15%~17%,and decreased obviously with tempering temperature increasing and was less than 3% in steel tempered at 525 ℃.

      摘要:The sulfuric acid dew corrosion- resistant steels are low alloying steels for heat exchanging component. There are two kinds of sulfuric acid dew corrosion- resistant steel:(1)base alloy elements-0.2%~0.5%Cu->0.010S adding a small quantity P,Sn,As, Sb,Se, or Te;(2)Cu-Cr or Cu-Cr-Ni steels for corosion environ ment of concentrated sulfuric acid(80%~90%)at elevated temperature(130~160℃).The characteristics of sulfuric acid dew point environment are briefly introduced,and the mechanism of effect of alloy elements on sulfuric acid dew point corrosion-resistance of the low alloy steel are discussed and the chemical compositions,mechanical properties and corosion resistance of domestic and foreign current main low alloying sulfuric acid dew point corrosion-resistant steels are presented in this paper.

    • Research and Application of Ferrite Rolling at Home and Abroad

      摘要:Ferrite rolling-warm rolling for <1.2 mm extra-thin hot rolling strip can save energy and decrease production cost. Current quick development of dun slab continuous casting and rolling technology contributes a good condition to develop and apply the ferrite rolling. Hie low carbon steel thin sheet and microalloying steel thin sheet have been produced by ferrite-warm rolling process. The research status of flow stress, recrystallization, microstructure and properties of ferrite rolled products, and application situation of ferrite rolling are summarteed in this paper.

      摘要:As the high manganese steel is treated by "top step process” in steelmaking furnace and in ladle using Vslag+ Ti + Zn compound inoculation agent, the inoculation effect to control and improve precipitated amount and morphology of carbide, clean grain boundary and fine grain shall be got. Hie dynamics effects of compound inoculation modified effect of rare earth elements, composition of liquid steel, microalloying elements, inoculation composition and interface fluctuation are presented in this paper. Hie application results showed that the as cast mechanical properties of 0.90~1.15C, 11.5~14.0Mn, 1.0~1.5Cr high manganese steel were obviously improved by Vslag+ Ti + Zn compound inoculation treatment, the tensile strength, elongation and impact toughness of steel were respectively increased to 491 MPa, 8.4% and 23 J/cm2from 401 MPa, 3.7% and 2.3 J/cm2.

    • Development of Voltage Swing Control System of 15 t Consarc ESR Furnace

      摘要:It is available for Consarc ESR furnace through control of swing voltage to keep the distance between electrode and slag surface unchanged,in order to keep the shape of remelting pool unchanged during remelting and get high quality ESR ingot. Based on analysis of voltage swing control principle for Consarc ESR furnace,a new control system has been developed which has been serviced for a 15 t ESR furnace at a foundry of Xingtai Metallurgical Roller Group for 6 months. The results showed that with using the new control system,the voltage flnctuation of ESR furnace was controlled within ±2.5V and the surface quality of ESR ingot was excellent , some indexes were better than that of original one.

      摘要:The φ11~13 mm SWRH82B steel coil(0.79~0.83C,0.70~0.80Mn,0. 17~0.22Cr,≤0.020S,≤0.025P) for prestressed steel wire and stranded wire has been successfully developed by hot metal pretreatment - 80 t top and bottom combined blown converter - 150 mm×150 mm billet concasting-high speed wire-rod mill process at Xiangtan Steel.The production practice with overheating temperature of liquid steel in tundish controlled between 15 ℃ and 25(30) ℃,casting speed 2.6~2.9 m/min,vibrated value of casting speed ≤ 0.2 m/min,and amount of secondary water cooling between 1.95 L/kg and 2.10 L/kg,the centre carbon segregation ratio of billet(carbon content at centre of billet / carbon content of liquid steel) shall be ≤ 1.04,the sorbite proportion of SWRH82B steel coil ≥ 85%,and during 10000 m drawing and stranding procedure the wire broken ratio ≤ one time.

      摘要:The weight of one crankshaft finished product of steel 42CrMoA (0.34~0.49C,0.9~1.2Cr,0.15~ 0.25Mo) for diesel engine is about 1 t, for which the weight of forging blank is 6.2 t, while the weight of electroslag remelting(ESR)casting - welding blank in only 1.5 t.The chemical composition of steel 42CrMoA ESR casting blank is uniform, of which the cleanliness is high than that of forging blank. The results in service at 8240 diesel engine showed that as compared with forging crankshafts, there was no wear abrasion scaling observed to better resolve the problem about wear abrasion scaling off.

    • Rare Earth Alloying Treatment of Hot Working Die Steel 3Cr2W8V

      摘要:The φ110 mm bar products of steel 3Cr2W8V were forged from 740 kg ingot melted by 15 t EAF and re- fined by 25 t LF. At end of refining period,the oxygen content in steel was 29×10-6and the liquid steel was treated by rare earth treatment with adding 0.048% RE alloy(21~24RE,44Si,3Mn,5Ca,3Ti,bal Fe). The yield of rare earth elements was 30.78%.The examination results showed that the rare earth treatment could be effciently to improve segregation of eutectic carbides in die steel 3Cr2W8V and obviously to decrease segregation of deleterious elements such as P,Pb, Sn,As,Sb at grain boundary.

      摘要:The structure and properties of 3.5 mm strip of steel SS330 (0.04%~0.07%C) produced by FTSR(Flexible Thin Slab Rolling)process from 70 mm thin slab at Tangshan Iron and Steel.The results showed that the structure of FTSR hot rolled SS330 steel strip was uniform,the average grain size was 6.2~7.0 μm,yield strength 284~293 MPa,tensile strength 369~375 MPa,elongation 38%~42%

      摘要:There were obvious mixed grain structure in X60 pipeline steel(0.04~0.06C,1.24~1.30Mn,0.04~0.05Nb,0.006~0.008Ti,0.015~0.030V)produced by 6 pass CSP(compact strip production)rolling. The mixed grain structure was climinated and the grain sizes in steel were 5.6~8.0 pm by no V added,modifed the composition-0.06~0.08C,1.24~1.30Mn,0.02~0.04Nb,0.007~0.010Ti,and the reduction ratio at first and second pass increased respectively to ≥42% and ≥40% from normal ≥39% and ≥36% to provide temperature and energy conditions for austenite complete recrystallization.

      摘要:The tube bloom steel J55-0.32~0.38C,1.25~1.55Mn is produced by 92 t EBT are fumace-92 t ladle furnace(LF)at Chengdu lron and Steel,Pangang Group. With controlling [C]≥0. 10%,[P] ≤ 0.015 at arc furace tap- ping,adding silicon- aluminium- barium deoxidant 200 kg/heat at EBT tapping a quarter of metal to decrease the oxygen content in molten steel,and with controlling FeO content in slag during LF refining,the sulfur content in steel shall be lower than 0.015%.During LF refining with feeding Al wire,argon stiring for 15 min than feeding 0.4~0.6 Kg/t CaSi wire to promote inclusion floating off,the nozzle clogging could be prevented.
