      摘要:The extent of modification of Al2O3inclusion and factor of CaS inclusion formation in refining liquid of steel 20CrMnTiHl after calcium treatment have been studied by thermodynamics equilibrium calculation between liquid steel and inclusions. Calculated results show that with calcium treatment of liquid steel containing 0. 020% ~ 0. 035% [S] and 0. 02% 〜0. 04% [ Al] , the stable CaS forms easily and the aluminum deoxidizing product Al203is not easily modified to low-melting calcium aluminate 12( CaO) ,7( Al203). In order to completely modify the Al2O3to low-melting calcium aluminate (CaO) • ( Al203) and 12( CaO) *7( Al2O3) , in refining process the calcium treatment of liquid steel should carry out in conditions of low [S] and ≥1 600℃ , and the sulfur wire feeding operation carries out after soft argon stirring, it is available to obviously decrease the occurrence of nozzle blocking.

      摘要:Based on similarity theory, the effect of process parameters on refining mixing time has been studied including alloy adding position in Single Snorkel refining furnace, gas blowing rate (2 ~ 10 L/min), liquid level in snorkel vacuum chamber (18. 5 ~67. 0 cm) , submerged depth (75 - 150 mm) and gas blowing position by 1: 4 water model simulated for an 80 t single snorkel refining furnace. Results show that as alloy adding at the location opposite to gas ascending zone, the mixing time is shorter, and it is available to decrease the mixing time with gas blowing rate 6 I/min, submerged depth 100 ~ 125 mm, height of liquid level in snorkel ≥52 cm and blowing gas at position r/R=0. 5 at bottom of ladle.

      摘要:Solubility products for Ti inclusions in austenite of low carbon steels (including interstitial free - IF steel) have been calculated and compared qualitatively. Results show that without considering effect of other factors, at 950 ~ 1 250 ℃ , the TiN has minimum solubility product and the TiC has maximum solubility product while that of TiS and Ti4C2S2are mediums. It indicates that at high temperature the initial precipitate should be TiN, then TiS, Ti4C2S2and last TiC.

      摘要:Based on fluid model and turbulent correct model, the gas flow, mix and transmission of mass and momentum in 210 t ladle refining furnace lid has been simulated and calculated by using flow engineering simulation software Fluent 6. 3.26 to analyze its flow behavior and distribution condition. Results show that with increasing the height of free board in ladle, the circulating region of Ar gas above liquid surface enlarges and the "dead regionn decreases; as Ar flow rate increases to 500 L/min, the flow effect in lid with blowing Ar hole at 0. 68 R is better than that at 0. 3 R; with normal work conditions, the reasonable air exhausting pressure is - 150 Pa; and in conditions with rational air exhausting pressure and blowing Ar location, the Ar flow rate 300 L/min basically meet the requirement, in strong stirring it is available to increase up to 500 L/min.

      摘要:The simulation of temperature field, stress-strain field and rolling force of stock during 10 passes finishing rolling process from Φ16 mm rolling to Φ5. 5 mm wire of steel 42A (0. 39% ~0. 46% C) has been carried out by analysis on heat transfer in high speed continuous rolling process at steel works and by means of established 3D thermo-mechanical coupling model between wire and roller with ABAQUS software. It is obtained that after finishing rolling the temperature of center of stock increases by 130 °C while the temperature of surface of stock decreases by 10℃ , which is caused by radiation of stock-self and water cooling. The relative error between calculated and measured value of rolling force in 10 passes is 1.88% -4. 50%.

      摘要:Based on similarity principle, the flow performance of liquid in 60 t tundish for 230 mm x 130 mm slab casting has been studied by 1:3 water modeling test, and the average residence time, and the volume of dead area, plug area and mixed flow area are calculated by measured curves of residence time distribution (RTD) of liquid in modeling ladle. It is obtained that dam with holes is available to improve the flow field in tundish, the optimum combined device of inhibitors to improve the flow of liquid in tundish is turbulence inhibitor + dam with holes, of which the height of dam is 133 mm and the distance between dam and pouring region is 765 mm. As compared with original ladle, the average residence time of liquid in improved ladle increases by 24 s, and the dead area decreases to 6. 7% from original 14. 8%.

      摘要:Effect of oxygen lance nozzles, lance level, top blowing rate and bottom blowing rate on bath mixing time, penetrating deptht impact area and splashing amount has been studied by orthogonal design test using 1: 6.35 water model for a 50 t top and bottom combined blown converter at Tang steel. Results show that as compared to original 4-hole oxygen lance, with using improved variable angle 4-hole oxygen lance the impact area in bath increases, the penetrating depth and splashing amount decrease while the mixing time decreases. For the 50 t top and bottom combined blown converter the real lance lever ≤1.3 m is available to decrease tap to tap time and increase intensity of bath stirring; and the mixing time and splashing amount decrease by controlling top blown rate 13 000 ~ 14 000 m3/h.

      摘要:The model of finite differential method for solutes micro-segregation during solidification of steel has been established by analysis on representative regular hexagonal dendrite structure micro-segregation model combined with applied steel grades. Non-equilibrium solidus lines calculated by established model coincide with the related experimental data published by Jemkontoret. The application of heat transfer calculating model for 280 mm x380 mm casting bloom of 0. 20C steel, 0. 45C steel and U71Mn steel show that the length of liquid-solid region at center of bloom calculated by non-equilibrium solidus is longer than that calculated by equilibrium solidus and it increases with increasing carbon content in steel ; and the revised solidification parameters and established model are more precise to reflect the solidification process.

      摘要:The effect of gas bubble size, injection rate and blowing time on removal of hydrogen and inclusion in liquid steel during refining has been studied and analyzed by theory calculation. A large number of bubbles form in liquid steel as the argon gas injection through porous brick. Small bubbles are available to increase the degassing area in liquid steel and favorable to decrease hydrogen content in steel. Inclusion adhering to bubble then going up is an effective way to remove the inclusions, and the smaller the bubbles and the larger the inclusions, the easier to remove the inclusions from liquid steel. During la祖e refining, it is available to remove the hydrogen and the inclusions in liquid steel by small injecting bubbles, and the optimum bubble diameter is 1 ~ 3 mm.

      摘要:A study on Metallurgical quality of first heat U71Mn and U75V heavy rail steel produced by 100 t LD-LF- VD-280 mm x 380 mm casting bloom flow sheet has been carried out. Statistic results show that although the overheating extent (21 ~38℃) of first heat liquid is higher, the max hydrogen content, oxygen content in end-half heat of first heat decrease respectively by 0. 2 x 10-6and 5 x 10-6as compared that in beginning-half heat and the max rating of inclusions also decrease by 0. 5. The metallurgical quality of end-half heat meets the requirements of heavy rail steel, therefore it is available that the end-half heat of first heat liquid can be cast for heavy rail instead of crane rail. As the process is put into practice, the amount of heavy rail steel shall increase more than 60 000 t per year.

      摘要:The effect of grade of iron and steel scrap and charge matching mode on electric power consumption, tap to tap time and metallurgical quality of an 150 t Fuchs shaft furnace at Zhusteel. Results show that the requirements of max adding amount of pig iron and sponge iron, match of capacity of up and down procedure, control of residual elements in products and steelmaking indexes must be consulted in mixture charging process to get a reasonable balance in terms of quality, cost and efficiency. To speed scrap melting, it is available to add more pig iron and / or quality scrap at bottom of first basket, and charge a number of quality scrap at top of final basket above light and thin scrap to avoid the scrap knot while the overburden of pig iron is not available at top to avoid over carbon content in liquid led to prolonging tap to tap time.

      摘要:Commercial test for the effect of 300 mm x 340 mm bloom mold electromagnetic stirring-final electromagnetic stirring (M-EMS and F-EMS) and 3-section multiple EMS (M-EMS, S-EMS and F-EMS) on carbon segregation of bloom of steel 20CrMnTi (% : 0. 17 ~0. 23C, 0. 80 ~ 1. lOMn, 1. 00 ~ 1. 30Cr, 0.04 ~0. lOTi) has been carried out. Results show that as current intensity of M-EMS and F-EMS for 2-section stirring decreases respectively to 2 HZ/100 A and 20 HZ-100 A from original 2 HZ/250 A and 20 HZ/150 A, the max different of carbon content in steel at section of bloom decreases to 0. 02% from original 0. 05% ; and as using 3-section multiple EMS, i. e. current intensity- 2 HZ/100 A for M- EMS, 20 HZ/50 A for S-EMS and 20 HZ/100 A for F-EMS, the max different of carbon content in steel at section of bloom is 0. 02% , while the rating of centre porosity of rolled products decreases to 1. 0 ~ 1. 5 from original 1. 0 ~ 2. 0 as using 2- section EMS, and the occurred ratio of square segregation decreases to 0. 8% from 9. 7%.

    • Optimization of Mold Powder for H-Shape Steel Q235B Casting

      摘要:To counter the situation of longitudinal crack defect usually occurred on bloom (wide side 550 mm, narrow side 440 mm, waist 90 mm) in H-shape steel Q235B (0. 14% ~0. 18%C) casting at Jinxi Iron and Steel works, based on original mold powder (% : 29~30Si02, 25 ~26CaO, 10 ~ 11A12O3, 3. 0 ~ 3.5Fe2O315 ~ 17C,≤0.5H2O), a high performance mold powder (% : 37. 50Si0237. 50CaO, 6A12O37CaF212Na2O, 7 graphite, 1. 5 carbon black) is developed by orthogonal experimental and optimum design. As compared with original mold powder, the semi-sphere point temperature, viscosity and melting time of improved mold powder decrease respectively to 1 092 ℃ , 0. 27 Pa • s and 32. 5 s from original 1 167℃ , 0. 77 Pa • s and 57 s. Application shows that as casting speed increase from 0. 98 m/min to 1. 2 m/min, the bloom has high quality by using the improved mold powder.

      摘要:The X65 pipeline steel 13MnNbTi (% : 0. 10 ~Q 16C, 1.20 ~ 1.40Mn, 0. 03 ~0. 05Nb, 0.01 ~0. 02Ti, 0.025 ~0. 05Al) is pilot-produced by 120 t top and bottom combined blown converter-100 t LF (VD) -5 strands Φ300 mm round bloom casting flow sheet at steelmaking plant, Baotou Steel Union Co Ltd. Production practice shows that it is available by desulphurization of hot metal ([S] ≤0. 005% ) , using slag stopper during converter tapping, basicity of refining slag ≥3. 0, VD treatment ≥13 min, to get [S]≤0. 005% , [P] ≤0. 015% and [ H] ≤1.5 x 10-6. With shielding casting in whole process and mold electromagnetic stirring, the oxygen content in steel is (13 ~21) x I0-6average oxygen content is 16. 44 x 10-6the surface quality of bloom is fine and the rating of macrostructure is 0 ~ 1.

    • Deoxidation Experiment of Low Carbon Steel Liquid by CaAl2 Alloy

      摘要:Based on thermodynamics calculation f the end deoxidation of 100 kg 0. 15C-t. 36Mn steel liquid in medium frequency induction furnace is carried out respectively by added 1 kg AlFe, 1 kg AlFe + feeding 0. 5 kg Ca wire, and 1 kg CaAl2. Results show that deoxidation rate of liquid by AlFe, AlFe + Ca and CaAl2is respectively 79. 3% , 87.2% and 85. 0% ; with end oxidation by CaAl2the ratio of low melting point phases 12( CaO) . 7(Al2O3) and (CaO) • (Al2O3) • 2( SiO2) in slag obviously increases, and the CaO and Al2O3phase in liquid are on the decrease or trace, therefore the CaAl2has strong function to remove inclusions in steel.

      摘要:The effect of cooling rate (0. 5 ~35℃/s) and strain (0. 3 ~ 0. 6) on structure of X100 pipeline steel (%: 0.06C, 0. 23Si, 1.90Mn, 0. 005P, 0.0003S, 0. 28 Mo, 0. 25 Ni, 0. 23 Cr, 0. 05 Nb, 0.02Ti, 0. 20Cu, 0. 025Al) has been studied by thermo-simulation test and the static and dynamic continuous cooling transformation (CCT) curves of the steel are obtained. Results show that complete bainite structure could be got at cooling rate of 5℃/s from un-deformed austenite; with deforming, the initial transformation temperature of austenite increases, and with increasing hot strain, the acicular ferrite transformation region enlarges while the lath bainite transformation region shrinks.

      摘要:Structure and mechanical properties of steel !Crl2Ni3Mo2VN quenched at 1 010 °C for 1 h, oil cooling and double tempered at 580 ~620 °C for 1 h, air cooling have been studied. Test results show that in tensile specimen tempered at 620 °C ,a large amount of coarsening block M23C6carbides precipitate at boundary of tempered martensite lath, and the plastic defonnation of specimen goes on by means of twin's motion with lower plasticity ; but the plastic deformation of tensile specimen tempered at 580 °C . goes on by means of slipping motion with better plasticity. The optimum tempering process of the steel is double tempering at 580 °C  for 1 h, air cooling.

      摘要:Hereditary feature of original coarse grain of steel OOCrl INil IMoTi rolled at 1 150 °C and solid-solution treated at 780 ~900 °C has been studied. Results show that there is a critical temperature Ac for the steel, at which the austenite renews nucleation and the heredity of coarse grain do not carried out; the Ac of steel OOCrllNillMoTi is 870 ~ 900 °C and higher than transformation point Afand with heating at Af~ Ac, the heredity of original coarse grain occurs. With pre-heat-treating in two-phase region As (630 °C) - Af( 730 °C ) , the critical temperature Ac to renew nucleation of austenite decreases, but it is not available to refine grain with pre-heat-treating at temperature higher than Ac.

      摘要:The effect of Si content on Structure and mechanical properties of steel CrMo2SiV (% : 0. 96 ~ 0. 97C, 0. 31 ~0. 36Mn, 7.98 ~8.04Cr, 2.01 ~2.08Mo, 0. 31 ~ 1. 52Si, 0. 20V) melted by a 25 kg vacuum induction furnace has been studied. Results show that with increasing Si content the size and amount of eutectic carbides in steel increase and the peak hardness of quenched steel moves to higher temperature region ; and with increasing Si content the secondary hardening ability and impact toughness of steel Cr8Mo2SiV quenched at I 030 Y and tempered at 550 °C obviously increase. The optimum Si content in steel Cr8Mo2SiV is 1. 5%.

      摘要:The effect of deforming temperature 800 ~950 ℃ on structure and mechanical properties of steel 55SiCrA (% : 0. 56C, 1. 42Si, 0. 68Cr) for auto suspension spring has been studied by Gleeble-1500 thermo/mechanical simulator and using optical, electron microscopy and mechanical property test. Results show that with increasing deforming temperature, the starting and finishing temperature of pearlite transformation gradually drop and the spacing of lamellar in pearlite decreases ; with defonning temperature 850 ~ 900℃, the spacing of lamellar in pearlite is 130 - 140 nm, and the steel has best comprehensive mechanical properties i. e. tensile strength 1 075 ~ 1 090 MPa with reduction of area 43. 5% 〜44. 0%.

      摘要:The effect of quenching at 890 ~ 780 °C on transverse impact energy of steel 27MnCrV (% : 0. 24C - 0. 30C, 0. 50 ~0. 70Cr, 0. 06 ~0. 10V) for petroleum casing pipe tempered at 630 °C has been tested and studied. Results show that with decreasing the quenching temperature, the transverse*V- notch impact energy increases obviously ; with insuring non-decreasing tensile strength of steel, the minimum transverse impact energy increases to 66 J by quenching at 820 °C + tempering at 630 °C from 35 J by quenching at 890 °C+ tempering at 630 °C. The optimum heat treatment process of steel 27MnCrV is water quenching at 830 °C ± 10°C + tempering at 630 °C air cooling, its tensile strength is 847 〜860 MPa, Yield strength is 922 -930 MPa and impact energy is 57 ~66 J to meet the requirement of standard.

      摘要:Tensile hot deformation behavior and structure change of high nitrogen austenite stainless steel Mnl6Cr22Nil. 6N0. 6 (%: 0.12C, 22.05Cr, 15.52Mn, 1.64Ni, 0. 58N) with strain rate 0.005 s-1at 900 ~ 1 300 ℃ have been studied by Gleeble 1500D thermal simulator. Results show that the high nitrogen steel has nice plasticity at 1 100 ~ 1 250 ℃ with the maximum reduction of area is 59% at 1 220 ℃. The observations on structure at tensile fracture show that as the steel tensions at 900 ~ 1 000 ℃ the recrystallization occurs with forming fine grains, at 1 000 ~ 1 100 ℃ the recrystallized grain grows with serrated grain boundary, at 1 100 〜1 300 ℃ the ferrite occurs and with increasing temperature the amount of ferrite increases, and at 1 300 ℃. the melting phenomena of grain boundaries occurs.

      摘要:The ductility of 260 mm x 300 mm casting bloom of V microalloying non-quenched and tempered steel 36Mn2V (% : 0. 36C, 1. 54Mn, 0. 12V, 0. 008 ~0. 010N) for casing pipe at 650 ~ 1 350 °C has been studied by using Gleeble-1500 thermal simulator. Results show that the zero strength temperature (ZST) and zero ductility temperature (ZDT) of steel 36Mn2V are respectively 1 440 °C and 1 400 °C. ; there are two zones for steel 36Mn2V at melting point Ts ~650 °C , i. e. brittle zone I ,Ts〜1 350 T and the brittle zone Ⅲ, 925 〜625 °C, therefore the straightening temperature for bloom during casting should be more than 925 °C ; the cooling rate (3 ~8 °C/s) from 1 350 °C to test temperature 650 ~ 1 050 °C has no-influence on hot ductility of the steel.
