    • Numerical Simulation on Jet Characteristic of Supersonic Jet Oxygen Lance

      摘要:A mathematical model for supersonic jet oxygen lance with axial calculated length 2 200 mm and diametrical calculated length 800 mm is established by using GAMBIT and the numerical simulation study on characteristics of the supersonic jet oxygen lance has been carried out by using FLUENT software. The supersonic jet characteristics of single hole oxygen lance and the effect of operating pressure (0. 6 〜1. 0 MPa) and ambient temperature (298 〜1 873 K) on flowing characteristics are analyzed. Results show that the effect of stagnating pressure at entrance within designing pressure ±25% on jet flow axial weakening and diametrical expanding is not obvious; the relation between stagnating pressure and length of flow jet supersonic region presents quadratic form curve change; with enhancing ambient temperature the jet flow axial weakening is slow and the length of core region increases, the length of supersonic jet region is linear with the ambient temperature, and the effect of ambient temperature on diametrical jet flow is minor.

    • Experiment Study on Characteristics of Coherent Jet Oxygen Lance

      摘要:A oxygen lance jet examination system with coherent jet oxygen lance Laval nozzle containing central main hole and 16 auxiliary holes is used to study the oxygen jet central velocity weakening rule, measure the coherent jet produced with accompanying flow of helium at ambient temperature to replace shielding gas burning at high temperature and the coherent jet simulated by flowing air in main hole and flowing shielding gas produced from oxygen and propane in both side auxiliary holes at high temperature. Results show that the characteristics of coherent jet are better than that of traditional jet, at ambient temperature with increasing the pressure of entrance helium the axial weakening of central jet is slowing to get longer length of supersonic jet region than that of traditional jet; at high temperature the length of circle flame can be changed by adjusting burning gas and oxygen flow rate while according to melting real condition it is available to change the length of main jet and meet the requirement of melting process.

      摘要:The gas jets of variable and non-variable angle four-hole oxygen lances for 50 t BOF have been numerically simulated by using Fluent software to study the effect of inclining angle of jet nozzles on oxygen jet flow field and syncretizing length of jet-flows. Results show that in distance near the outlet of jet-nozzle the each jet-flow is independent free-flow, with increasing distance from outlet of jet nozzle the each jet-flow continuously spreads out and merges each other into one jet-flow (stream) at certain distance; the syncretizing distance of jet-flows of non-variable angle jet nozzle A is 1. 3 m that is consistent with the cold water simulated test results in which at situation of lance level 1.3 m the spitting amount from furnace is maximum; the inclining angles of opposite angles jet hole of variable angle oxygen lances vary from lance B to lance I, and the jet-flows of these lances syncretize for two times led to abruptly reduce the furnace spitting amount ; compared with difference 1° of inclining angles, the variable angle oxygen lances with difference 0. 5° of inclining angles of opposite angles jet hole is more favorable to increase the syncretizing distance ; among the studied nine jet nozzle with inclining angles 10. 5° ~ 11.5°/12. 5°, the jet nozzle H with inclining angle 5° has maximum jet flow syncretizing distance, its theoretical furnace mouth spitting amount is lowest.

      摘要:Based on turbulent model and VOF model, the numerical simulation and analysis on gas-slag-liquid three- phase flow field in 210 t ladle furnace (LF) during argon blowing have been carried out by using CFD fluid engineering simulation software FLUENT6. 3.26 to get the effect of bottom blowing porous plug position (single center plug, single eccentric plug and double plugs) and argon flow rate (100 ~500 L/min) on behavior of liquid circle flow, size of slag eye and slag entrapment. Study results show that with different bottom porous plug position the liquid mixing speed and size of slag eye are different; the slag is easily entrapped by liquid at slag eye; the stagnation zone with double plugs bottom blowing is quite small than that with single plug bottom blowing; the more argon flow rate the more dimension of slag eye, as diameter of slag eye is more than 611 mm the change of dimension of slag eye is small ; the suitable argon flow rate for 210 t ladle with double plugs bottom blowing is 200 〜300 L/min.

      摘要:The distribution of magnetic field and Joule heat field of electrode, slag and remelting ingot system during electroslag remelting (ESR) process is obtained by using finite element software ANSYS, and the effect of electrode filling ratio 0. 3 ~ 0. 7 in three-dimension ESR process coupling magnetic field and Joule heat field on temperature field, velocity field and magnetic field of ESR system is simulated and analyzed by using calculated fluid dynamics software FLUENT. Results show that with increasing electrode filling ratio, the max values of velocity and turbulent kinetic energy increase, but the variation ratio of velocity decreases ; the difference of max turbulent kinetic energy between electrode filling radius ratio 0. 3 and 0. 5 is as twice as that between electrode filling ratio 0. 5 and 0. 7 ; with increasing electrode filling ratio the max temperature value is not monotonous variation.

      摘要:The vibrating-exciting nucleation device consists of exciting nucleation rod, up-down, vibrating, rod cooling, damping and temperature measuring system. During 45 t Q345B steel slab ingot casting, the vibrating-exciting nucleation bar with height 200 mm is located at center of casting ingot mould submerged in liquid 50 ~ 80 mm. Casting test results show that (1) the vibrating-exciting nucleation device is safe and reliable as using it during ingot casting; (2) with cooling gas rate up to 40 m3/h the incrustation phenomenon occurs on surface of vibrating rod body, while with 20 m3/h the rod surface is very smooth, so the appropriate gas flow rate is 20 〜40 m3/h and the temperature difference between surface of exciting nucleation rod and liquid is 55 〜80 ℃; (3) by nondestructive examination, the plate rolled by ingot with using vibrating-exciting nucleation processing is qualified with H rating while the contrast plate rolled by general ingot without using vibrating-exciting nucleation processing is unqualified due to existing continuous defects.

      摘要:The surface of 300 mm x 360 mm low carbon steel casting bloom produced by using original mold powder [/%: 25. 64 CaO, 22. 72SiO25. 69MgO, 8.29Al2O311. 87 (Na2O + K2O), 5. 49CaF25. 10BaO] easily produces network cracks at steel work. With analysis on 由e relativity between mold powder lubricating property and metallurgical quality of casting bloom and study on the influence of basicity, MgO and Al2 03 on melting point of mold powder and the influence of Ca2F and alkali-earth oxide content on viscosity of mold powder, the optimum ingredient of mold powder [/%: 22. 06CaO, 23. 63SiO24. 76MgO, 8. 29Al2O311. 90 (Na2O + K2O), 2. 32CaF24. 18BaO] is defined. The application results show that as the thickness of liquid slag layer increases to 7 ~ 10 mm from original slag 6 ~ 7. 5 mm, the casting bloom surface network is completely eliminated.

      摘要:The structure and composition of slag shell and final slag during remelting process of 9. 5 t remelting ingot of hot working die steel H13 with 380 kg 60CaF2-30Al2O3-10CaO ternary slag system have been analyzed. Results show that during electroslag remelting process the slag shell presents obvious laminating-structure, from out-side to inner-side in proper order being rapid cooling layer, aluminum oxide precipitating layer and inner remelting layer; the CaF2 content in final slag is generally lower than that in initial slag and the CaF2content in lag shell is higher than that in initial slag; the aluminum oxide content in outside of final slag is highest ; and the oxygen content in remelted slag is obviously higher than that in original slag.

      摘要:The compound-slab (/mm) 415 x 1 630 x2 570 for compound-rolling is got by removing the scale of awaiting compound-rolling faces of double (/mm)210 x 1 630 x 2 570 Q345B steel casting slabs, cutting circle welding V and welding together. By vacuum-pumping compound-slab cave, packing and heating to 1 220 ~ 1 260 °C the compound-slab is rolling at 1 150 °C to 100 mm supper heavy plate with total reduction more than40% in preceding three passes, and finishing rolling at 980 T. Examination results show that all mechanical properties of Q345 steel compound plate meet the requirements of GB6396-2008 and GB1591-2008, that is its tensile strength 530 -535 MPa, yield strength 325 MPa, elongation 27. 5% ~28.0%, thickness Z direction tensile strength 520 ~530 MPa and reduction of area 30.0% ~ 60. 5%. The ratio of bonding interface of compound-plate is more than 99%, and the tensile specimen fracture is mixing fracture and a small amount of toughness fracture with nice cold-bending performance.

      摘要:The cause for fracture of partial 22 t 170 mm x 1 650 mm x 10 000 mm casting slab of steel 25SiMn2 during crane-conveying process has been examined and analyzed. Results show that during casting the superheating extent of liquid steel in tundish is higher (30 ~36 °C) led to significant columnar crystal growth at 1/4 thickness of slab, poor fluidity of molten steel and lack back feeding during solidification, as result a lot of micro-shrinkage cavity occur causing crack at micro-shrinkage cavity by stress concentration effect and finally causing fracture of slab by repeating crane-conveying and acting with self-gravity. The fracture of casting slab is availably avoided by decreasing superheating extent of liquid in tundish to 10 ~30 ℃ and reducing times of crane-conveying of slab.

      摘要:The in-line examination and statistics on casting process for 220 ~ 320 mm x 1 800 ~ 2 700 mm wide-thick slab of 0.07% ~0,18% C steel have been carried out for one year at steel work to study the effect of process parameters including casting rate (0.65 ~ 1. 2 m/min), liquid superheating extent (13-35 ℃), mold inlet water temperature (27 -35°C) and mold liquid level (775 -810 mm) on heat flux of mold copper plate during casting process of steel grades containing different C%. Results show that with casting 220 mm slab with increasing casting rate the mold heat flux increases, but as casting rate more than 1. 05 m/min, the heat flux doesn't increase again; for the steel grades with peritectic reaction, with increasing liquid superheating extent the heat flux of wide and narrow face o£ slab increases, but with increasing inlet water temperature the heat flux decreases ; due to the effect of peritectic phase transformation, during casting 0.13% C steel the mold heat flux is lowest.

      摘要:Two heats of steel 21CrMolO (/%: 0. 18G, 0.29 ~0. 30Si, 0. 25 ~0. 27Mn, 0.007 ~0.008P, 0.003S, 2. 40 ~2.42Cr, 0. 35 ~0. 37Mo) are melted by 30 t EAF-LF-VD-7.2 t casting ingot flow sheet. The T-type steel tube with T-type head outside diameter 860 mm, tube body outside diameter 740 mm, wall thickness 60 mm, total length 6 500 mm is produced by hydraulic punching-reducing piercing-Pilger rolling tube process. Results show that compared with conventional forming process by forging and boring, the Pilgrim rolling process by which the mold mouth and tube body are formed only once is available to greatly increase the yield of raw material ; and the mechanical properties of tube products meet the requirement service.

      摘要:With process measures including charging 30 ~40 t hot metal and 12 〜16 t quality scrap in 50 t EAF, EBT slag free tapping and adding 150 ~200 kg steel-clad aluminum to pre-deoxidize, diffusion deoxidation by SiC and controlling refining slag basicity 4.0 ~6.9 in LF process, soft argon blowing before and after VD, shielding casting and electromagnetic stirring in casting process, the total oxygen content in rolled products of bearing steel GCrl5 is 8 x 10-9x 10-6. Analysis results show that the size of inclusions in steel before LF and after VD is generally ≤ 10 μm, maximum size is 40 and the sizes of most inclusions are 3 ~ 6 μm; before LF process the main inclusions in steel are Al2O3magnesia alumina spinal, sulfide, Cr2O3and TiO2before and after VD the main inclusions in steel are magnesia alumina spinal, CaS and MgO.

      摘要:The distribution of V-segregation at longitudinal and cross section of ø380 mm continuous casting bloom of bearing steel GCrl5 and the structure morphology of V-segregation band have been studied. Results show that the V-segregation forms in central equiaxial crystal zone by symmetrical about center line of casting bloom and the segregation bands are parallel each another at longitudinal section; and the morphology of V-segregation bands at cross section is related with cutting location which presents with concentric distribution; there is lots of liquation carbonide in V-segregation band that is an important factor to form serious segregation.

      摘要:Linear expansion coefficient, differential scanning calorimetric (DSC) and heat capacity at constant pressure (Cp) curves, and high temperature mechanical properties of austenite stainless steel 304 (/%: 0. 040C, 0. 45Si, 1. 18Mn, 0. 030P, 0. 003 S, 17. 24 Cr, 8. 11 Ni) 40 mm x 1 500 mm hot-rolled plate are tested and analyzed by using Gleeble-1500D thermal simulation testing machine, DIL402C thermal dilatometer and STA449F3 comprehensive thermal analyzer. Results show that 1-est brittleness zone of steel 304 is 1 300 T to melting point, 3-rd brittleness zone is 950 ~ 1 050 °C, the reduction of area at 1 050 ~ 1 250 °C is ≥60%, it has better hot ductility; the linear expansion and contraction coefficient of steel are respectively 20. 97 x 10-6〜21. 56 x 10-6and 21. 25 x 10-6~ 21. 84 x 10-6so it belongs to crack sensitive steel grade; during heating process from 1 000 °C to 1 400 °C the fluctuation of Cp curve is larger, it indicates there is crystallographic transformation to easily form defects in steel ; during cooling of steel 304 from 1 450 °C to 1 200 °C the curve of DSC is unsmooth, it indicates there is phase transformation in steel easily to produce cracks in steel.

      摘要:Test steel CrNi3Si2MoV (/% : 0.21C, 1.75Si 0.29Mn, 0.006 0P, 0.0007S, 1.03Cr, 2.86Ni, 0.31 Mo, 0.08V) is melted by a 50 kg vacuum induction furnace and forged to φ15 mm bar product. The effect of hot deformation on structure and hardness of test steel CrNi3Si2MoV austenitized at 1 200 ℃, then hot deforming with 10% 〜 70% at 750 °C + quenching and partitioning (Q&P) treated by quenching to 330 °C and 550 ℃ for 1 min is studied by Gleeble-3800 thermal simulation machine, scanning and transmission electron microscope (SEM and TEM), and X-ray diffractometer (XRD). Test results show that the structure of hot deformation + Q&P treated steel CrNi3Si2MoV is lath martensite + 5. 7% ~ 17.2% lamella residual austenite, with 30% hot deformation the residual austenite amount (17. 2%) in steel is maximum, with 50% hot deformation the hardness HV value of steel is maximum up to 448, and as hot deformation up to 70%, the obvious recrystallization of steel occurs with fine structure and the hardness of steel decreases.

      摘要:The effect of original finish rolling process [finish rolling at ≥930℃. and wire coiling at (870 土 10) ℃] and improved finish rolling process [finish rolling at ≥950 ℃and wire coiling at (900 ± 10) ℃] for φ5.5 mm 0.73% C 72A tire cord steel coil on its structure, texture and mechanical properties has been studied by using scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray diffractometer (XRD) and tensile testing machine. Results show that with increasing finish rolling and wire coiling temperature respectively by 20 °C and 30 ℃, the distance between pearlite lamellae in steel decreases from 144 nm to 133 nm, the tensile strength and plasticity of steel increase slightly, while the intensity of {111} texture along the axis of wire rod decreases and the peeling rate of oxide scale increases from 1. 66 kg/t to 2. 67 kg/t, that are favorable to increase the drawability of tire cord steel.

      摘要:The influence of LF binary refining slag 60CaO-40SiO2 and [O] 27 x 10-6as well as ternary refining slag 47.5 - 50. 2CaO-41. 8 ~45. 7SiO2-5 ~8Al2O3and [O] 12 x 10-6~ 14 x 10-6kinds, morphology, size and number of inclusions in φ 5. 5mm coil produced by BOF-LF-CC-high speed wire rolling process at steelworks and on wire fracture index during wire drawing have been tested and researched. Results show that with higher oxygen content and binary refining slag, the coil has more inclusions with size more than 7 μm and higher Al2O3content which concentrate near surface of coil within 1 mm depth, and the wire fracture index is 2. 5 ; with lower oxygen content and ternary slag, the coil surface has not larger size inclusions, the size of most inclusions is ~5 μm and the SiO2content in inclusions is higher with lower Al2O3and the wire fracture index is 1. 0 ~ 1.5, therefore the performance of cold drawing of steel cord for tyre is markedly improved by using ternary slag containing 5% Al2O3for LF refining and controlling oxygen content in steel- [O] ≤15 x 10-6and decreasing number and size of inclusions in steel.

      摘要:The austenite dynamic recrystallizing process of VIF melted and forged 625 mm bar of Nb-V-Ti microalloying 0. 37C-1.45Mn non-quenched and tempered steel (/%: 0. 37C, 0. 60Si, 1. 45Mn, 0. 025Nb, 0. 078V, 0.017Ti) with single pass compression, strain rate 0. 1 ~ 10 s-1and reduction by 60% at 950 ~ 1 150 ℃ has been studied by using Gleeble-3800 thermal simulation machine. Results show that of Nb-V-Ti microalloying 0. 37C-1. 45Mn steel the higher deformation steel and the lower strain rate, the smaller deformation cumulative energy to occur the dynamic recrystallization and the more easily to carry out the dynamic crystallization. Due to containing Nb in steel, the activation energy of dynamic recrystallization of test steel is higher, i. e. Qd=353. 80 kJ/mol.
